BESPOKE CURRICULUM
& ENRICHMENT
Our curriculum is carefully sequenced to enable all children, in all year groups, to build upon and secure their knowledge, develop strong skills, and cultivate a lifelong love of learning. Through enriching curriculum experiences and exceptional opportunities, we ensure every child is supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
CURRICULUM AMBITION
We recognise each child as unique, with individual needs, and adapt the curriculum accordingly to support every learner. Our commitment to every child as an individual, and to excellence in teaching and learning fosters an inspiring environment where all pupils are supported and challenged, and encouraged to achieve outstanding outcomes.
We believe in a dynamic and creative curriculum, where wider subjects are explored through themed study. This immersive approach allows children to fully engage with each topic, deepening their knowledge and developing essential skills. Every curriculum theme is enriched with hands-on experiences, such as Year 3 watching The Lion King musical, as part of their Out of Africa topic, or Year 5 visiting Bletchley Park and becoming Code breakers as part of their World at War learning.
By providing diverse learning experiences, celebrating individual achievements, and fostering a positive mindset, we empower our pupils to build confidence and develop ambitious aspirations for the future.
HOW TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD
Encouraging a love for learning involves creating a positive learning environment at home, good communication with class teachers, and establishing a routine for homework and reading, as well as showing interest by asking questions about and discussing the school day. Ensuring your child has positive school attendance will also ensure that they are able to make the most of every learning opportunity, enabling them to flourish.
Praising efforts, not just achievements, builds confidence and resilience. Attending school events, reading together regularly, and providing opportunities for creative play and problem-solving can also help reinforce learning. Throughout the Year, there are a number of parent workshops or coffee mornings that will provide helpful information and resources for supporting your child within their current year group.
