DEVELOPMENT
There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots, the other, wings.
Here at Parklands, we strive to ensure that all of our children have Strong roots, so they always know where home is and wings to see how far they can fly.
We have fantastic connections in the wider Parklands community, and we are immensely proud of the impact our Children have on the lives of our local residentents, from litter picking with the local womble group, to working with the Park rangers to plant a micro forest on Parklands Playing fields to reading to residents at the local care home.
As well as an in depth PSHE curriculum, we have created a roadmap of experiences for us children to experience, from their first moment in reception to when they are ready to take flight to secondary school. We believe that this breadth of experiences will provide our children with the skill set and passion to pursue their dreams and ambitions.
Through worldly wise weeks, careers weeks and unforgettable memorable moments, our children their about themselves, their strengths and talents, as well as how they can develop these further. Our children also have the opportunity to be part of one of our fantastic pupils groups, who once appointed to role, give their time to develop their team and leadership skills, whilst making whole school and community impact.
