Our first full week back after Easter saw me visiting classrooms to observe maths in action and work with pupils and talk to them about their calculations. It was great to see pupils working with confidence both in and out of the classroom.
Our Young Leaders from Y5 confidently participated in training this week and were highlighted by the trainers as being well-prepared for the roles they are learning to take. The Y4 pupils also tackled their activities with confidence as they built and sailed rafts, climbed whilst rock climbing and took part in the egg-drop challenge. This was all at their residential visit to the Frontier centre in Irthlingborough and the three days were enjoyed by all. For many, this is their first time staying away from home and it is always amazing for staff to see how the pupils change and grow over their stay. They can even change their own duvets now!
The Reception children enjoyed being taught by a tennis coach this week. It was incredible to watch just how well they manged the activities taught and I shall enjoy watching them develop over the next sessions they have.
